Practice of Fast Food Consumption among University Students and Variables Associated with the Practice

Fast food consumption is one of the most well-known aspects practiced among different societies, being especially popular children and adolescents. The significance this study to analyse college students' knowledge about fast find determinant factors along with prevalence fast-food students Gulf Medical University. A cross-sectional was carried out 400 at Self-administered structured questionnaires were used for data collection. Out participants included in research, 89.25% ate food; those, 77.5% believed that might cause obesity, 20.2% consumed 1-2 times a month, 84.4% expected spend less than 50 AED on meal, 72.6% said they choose because enjoyed its taste, 87.9% both worked out, 66.7% stated proximity restaurants determined whether consume instead proper food. 89.3% aware unhealthy. One main reasons influence friends. With increasing age, became concerned health complications consumption, such as stroke or liver disease. Participants heavily favoured during late-night sessions it helped them stay awake. Moreover, who also packed sugary/salty snacks lunches, probably suitable substitution.
